Ensuring a safe and clean environment for your pet is our utmost priority. We take great pride in our standard of cleanliness. When you enter our facility, you’ll see the difference. It looks clean, smells clean, and IS clean and disinfected. Plus, it’s comfortable and spacious, with all the amenities.

OUR CLEANING PROCESS

Did you know there is a difference between cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting? Cleaning is obvious, but the main difference between disinfecting and sanitizing is that sanitizing reduces the number of germs to a safe level but is not intended to kill viruses. Only disinfecting kills germs, viruses, and bacteria on surfaces.

We take “clean” very seriously. We clean regularly, use the right products, and disinfect at least once a day.

The only way to reduce the risk of spreading germs and infectious diseases is to thoroughly and regularly disinfect, require current vaccinations, and monitor the health of every pet in our care.

KENNELS: When occupied, kennels are cleaned every morning when the dogs are out for their first potty and before they eat breakfast. We disinfect any spots that need it. Bowls are stainless steel, never mixed between dogs, and cleaned regularly. Beds, cots, toys, and floors are swept, cleaned, and tidied each morning and evening. We regularly launder, with disinfectant, beds, and blankets - even yours, if they need it. Throughout the day, especially if it’s muddy or wet outside, water or food is spilled, or messes occur, kennels are repeatedly cleaned. During extended stays, we fully clean and disinfect their kennel every few days. When they leave, a full and deep cleaning is done on their kennel involving cleaning, double disinfecting, and scouring the floors, walls, and any surfaces, bowls, bedding, or toys they’ve come in contact with. Cots are also cleaned and disinfected. Every dog or cat gets a clean blanket or bed.

FACILITY: Our stringent closing procedure requires daily cleaning and disinfecting of all areas used by pets. That means each playroom, common area, and kennel/crate is cleaned, mopped, and sprayed with disinfectant. Carpets and rugs are shampooed (using disinfectant) when necessary. Garbage is removed daily, laundry is done, dishes are washed, and mopheads, towels, and cleaning materials are changed daily. We never use dirty towels, rags, or mopheads.

YARDS: Poop is scooped throughout the day and removed from the premises. Every outside yard, walkway, wall, and fencing is WYSI-WASHED daily. That means every inch of areas that dogs walk on or brush against is cleaned and doused with disinfectant nightly - even in the winter. All toys and water bowls and buckets are cleaned and disinfected daily.

Safety

Every room has monitored 24/7 video and audio surveillance - even individual private kennels and the Cattery. We also have an overnight attendant who checks on safety. Our outdoor yards are surrounded by 6’ high privacy fencing and all gates are locked, clipped, or boarded shut. All our gates and doors are double - so if a dog gets by us, there’s another to catch him before he can get to the next area. All dogs are monitored when outside or in a playroom.

Private room kennels all have locks and standard kennels have latches that are clipped shut, so no one can get out or wander around.

Our fences, walls, and doors are smooth, with no places where a dog or cat can run into anything sharp or catch on anything. We remove collars, so they can’t get hung up or caught by another dog.

Chemicals and cleaning products are stored away from food and stowed away from common areas so no dog can get to them.

If we’re hiking, dogs are always kept on a leash and walked individually.

Our kennel staff is highly trained in group management. We have staff who can handle dog emergencies, too. We curate playgroups so that similar dogs are together, and we separate any dogs who need to be by themselves. Groups always have an attendant. This prevents fighting. Additionally, we have a very low ratio of staff to dogs so they get the extra attention and monitoring they need.

Comfort

We’re brand new! This means all our equipment and the facility are brand new, freshly built or remodeled, cutting edge, and clean. Our kennels are spacious, with three different sizes, the smallest being 5’x5’x6’. We have remotely monitored heating and cooling so we can tell you what the temperature is in every corner of the buildings. It’s warm in the winter, and cool in the summer. Kennels are well-ventilated. Private kennels each have fans and windows.

Every dog has its own space. We provide cots or fluffy blankets if you request, and you can always bring your own to make them extra comfortable.

We believe dogs should be outside as much as possible, suited to each individual. To that end, their day looks like this: Morning potty, breakfast, morning play session, lunch/nap, afternoon play session, dinner, night potty, and midnight potty. We even take them on hikes and have special activities. Dogs who are suitable participate in daycare and play with other dogs. Dogs who need alone time get the whole yard to themselves with a private attendant.

We encourage you to bring the same food your pets have been on and can accommodate fresh, frozen, and refrigerated. Our house kibble is quality lamb and rice. We pay special attention to special diet, med, exercise, and injury needs.
